Sweat it & socialise

Working out should be fun, am I right? I don't know about you, but I work out to have fun, not to punish my body.

Have you heard of Sweat Social? If you live in Brisbane, I'm sure you would have. If not, then you must live under a rock - but I won't hold that against you!

Sweat Social is here to 'shake up your workout routine'. It's an event ran by my good friend and massive BOSS BABE, Kell Gibson.

In the short amount of time I have known Kell, shortly just after her first SS event, I have seen her seriously grow with Sweat Social. I don't know about you, but I genuinely love seeing my friends succeed. It makes me so happy. This was maybe five or so months ago. Sweat Social has since had five successful events, with four of them being in Brisbane and one recently on the Gold Coast.

I had to see what all the fuss was about after I had major FOMO (are people still saying that?) from their first Brisbane event which was collaborated with F45 Newstead and InspireCycle Teneriffe (my two faves).

My first experience at Sweat Social was the second SS event, 'Secret Skyline Sweat'. Which was located on a secret rooftop in the Valley. It was a fun guessing game of where it would be as we only found out the exact location on the day of the event. Secret Skyline Sweat was in collaboration with Fitstop Windsor, finished with a touch of Yoga and meditation with Dr Laura Elliot from Kula Health, which was also therapeutic thanks to a touch of Mother nature on a stormy Brisbane afternoon. Kula Health were at the event offering massages, alongside with other pop-up stores, like the girls from Vivra, and the guys from Before You Speak Coffee, just to name a few. There is also a braid station, you know, to braid your hair so it's on fleek to sweat and be social #haironfleek.

Even though I got back from LA that morning, I hadn't slept and I was so tired (I slept good that night), I was also on such a high and met so many lovely girls who I also saw at the third event, Sweat with Bec. Which was held at the Met. You know, the Met? as in the nightclub...

One Sunday arvo we had the entire Met nightclub to ourselves... The best thing is, we had Bec Donlan, holistic health coach and all round mega babe take us for a booty burner using her booty bands!

A girlfriend and I were laughing saying we wouldn't work up much of a sweat... Wow, were we wrong! Did you know you can sweat a sh*t load with those bloody bands?!

Like every other SS event, supporting local businesses, there were more pop-up shops, with the likes of Kula health, the braid station, eye brow wax and tint station and finishing off with a poke bowl thanks to cheeky poke bar. You also get goodie bags. Who doesn't like a goodie bag?!

You don't have to worry about going alone to these events. You don't have to worry about your fitness level. In fact, you don't have to worry about anything! Just come along and have fun. What's stopping you?

I am not bias (well maybe a little), BUT, I am not lying when I say you will get FOMO (I still say it) if you don't go to these events. They are worth every cent! The energy on the day is something I can't describe, but you won't regret going, and I guarantee you will walk out not only sweaty AF but also with a new friend or two.

I am a sucker for supporting anyone and everyone, especially when it's my friends doing something they are so passionate about! The next Sweat Social event (Sweat & Reset) is on May 20th (I already have FOMO because I won't be here), tickets are limited. For more details, click here. Also follow Sweat Social on Instagram to see any giveaways they may have!
